Gloria Mongan

Gloria has attended church her entire life, but is a new Episcopalian. She grew up as a country girl in St. Joseph, Louisiana and is a true southerner where hospitality, saying hi to everyone, and helping your neighbor is key!
She received a B.S. in Nutrition from Northeast Louisiana University and a M.S. degree in Institution Management from Louisiana Tech University. She worked as an administrative and clinical dietitian for most of her career in a long term care facility, hospitals, and the space program.
She has been married to Phil for 30 years and they have a son who lives in New York and a daughter in California.
Gloria started her position as Parish Administrator in September 2022. She greatly enjoys working at St. David’s and considers staff and church members part of her family!
Vestry
In Episcopal churches, a group of parish-elected representatives serve in conjunction with the Rector as the church’s governing board. The role of the Vestry and its members is to support the vision and mission of St. David’s by the Sea, to lead in service and ministry, to ensure proper stewardship of the church’s resources, to engage in both short-term and long-term visionary planning, and to act as helpers to the Rector for the furtherance of the welfare of the church.
The following people serve on the current Vestry: Roxanne McCormac (Senior Warden), Jack Tracy (Junior Warden), Sylvia Rath, Louise Weaver, Mike Faughnan, Ross Amelio, Allison Cobb, Bob Schlafke, and Jeanne Weaver.
