Dr. Dave Johnson, Rector The Rev. Dr. Dave Johnson was born in Newport, Rhode Island and grew up in Springfield, Virginia. He has served in fulltime parish ministry in the Episcopal Church since 1992--ten years as a youth minister and over twenty years as a priest--at parishes in Virginia, Wyoming, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. His graduate degrees include a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Master of Sacred Theology from Nashotah House, and both a Master of Sacred Theology and Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry. He has published eight books of sermons, including Grace upon Grace and The Surpassing Grace of God, and with Bishop Justin Holcomb co-edited Christian Theologies of the Sacraments for NYU Press. In the Diocese of Central Florida, he has served as facilitator of Ministry/Leadership/Mission, an instructor in the Institute for Christian Studies, Dean of the Central Deanery, and a member of the Diocesan Board. He and his wife Stephanie are delighted to be part of the St. David's family. They have been married since 1991 and have several grown children. She grew up as a country girl in St. Joseph, Louisiana and is a true southerner where hospitality, saying hi to everyone, and helping your neighbor is key! She received a B.S. in Nutrition from Northeast Louisiana University and a M.S. degree in Institution Management from Louisiana Tech University. She worked as an administrative and clinical dietitian for most of her career in a long term care facility, hospitals, and the space program. She has been married to Phil for 30 years and they have a son who lives in New York and a daughter in California. Gloria started her position as Parish Administrator in September 2022.
